BMW squad Walkenhorst Motorsport confirms two Pro crews for 2021

BMW will challenge for overall wins in this season's Endurance Cup with a pair of impressive line-ups set to represent Walkenhorst Motorsport.

The German squad made its name by winning the Total 24 Hours of Spa in 2018 and has since earned further success in International GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli. This term it has set its sights on capturing the Endurance crown, as well as a second triumph at Spa.

In the #34 BMW, Sheldon van der Linde will return to the series alongside fellow factory driver Marco Wittmann. Their crew will be completed by British racer David Pittard, who also brings considerable mileage at the wheel of BMW machinery.

The #35 machine boasts an equally strong crew. Experienced factory drivers Timo Glock and Martin Tomczyk will be joined by rising star Thomas Neubauer, who switches from Lexus to BMW for 2021.

The Walkenhorst outfit is represented at this week's official Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS test days at Circuit Paul Ricard, where Neubauer has been at the wheel of the #34 M6 GT3. The competitive action begins at Monza, which stages the Endurance Cup season opener on 16-18 April.
