- Official poster revealed for centenary CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa
- Two Mercedes-AMGs separated by half a century as they attack Raidillon
- First in series of 10 collector’s edition posters to mix past and present
An exceptional race demands an exceptional poster. From June 26 to 30, the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa will celebrate its 100th anniversary. Today, the event’s organiser, SRO Motorsports Group, proudly presents the official artwork for the centenary edition.
This is the first in a series of 10 collector's edition posters that will put the manufacturers competing in this year's race centre stage. Spanning 10 decades at the Ardennes circuit, they will showcase contemporary cars alongside those that contributed to the legendary status of the twice-around-the-clock contest.
French artist Guillaume Lopez, who designed the event’s official posters between 2019 and 2022, has returned to create the centenary series. The first shows a pair of Mercedes-AMGs climbing the legendary Raidillon, with the iconic endurance grandstand visible in the background. On the left, the 300 SEL that finished second in 1971; on the right, the AMG GT3 EVO that will tackle the centenary edition in the colours of CrowdStrike.
Each of the posters features two cars – one modern, one historic – running side-by-side in the same location. After Mercedes-AMG, the other current Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS manufacturers Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, McLaren and Porsche will each take a turn in the spotlight. Three others will also feature – but which? To find out, stay tuned to the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa social media channels, where the remaining nine posters will be revealed over the coming weeks.
Fans will be delighted to learn that these limited edition artworks will be available to purchase from the merchandising stands at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa parade (Wednesday 26 June) and at the circuit over the following days. The countdown to the centenary edition is now truly underway: indeed, it is 100 days until the field of GT cars heads off in procession towards Spa city centre.
“For the centenary CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa we wanted a poster that would make an impression, and I think that the fans will not be disappointed,” said Laurent Gaudin, the event’s general manager. “Rather than just one poster we decided to launch 10, each of which will integrate both the historical side and the magic that this legendary race has conveyed over time. A series of 10 posters covering 10 decades, and the chance for fans to choose their favourite brand. I would like to thank Guillaume Lopez for meeting this challenge so brilliantly.”
