HubAuto Racing Targets Centenary Glory at CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa with Porsche Driver Line-up

HubAuto Racing is set to make a return to the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, in Belgium for the historic 100-Year Anniversary of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, June 26-30, 2024

HubAuto Racing has announced an impressive lineup of Porsche factory drivers, Kevin Estre and Patrick Pilet, previously scheduled for the Bathurst 12 Hour will join the team along with Laurens Vanthoor in HubAuto Racing’s Porsche 911 GT3R 992.

The Asian-based team’s last appearance at the 24 Hours of Spa was in 2021 with the Mercedes-AMG GT3. With a strategic shift to the Porsche 911 GT3R 992 for this milestone year, HubAuto Racing is eager to bring new success with its highly experienced driver squad.

The drivers expressed their excitement for the upcoming challenge. “We're looking forward to driving the Spa 24 hours once again with HubAuto.” Said Estre. “We sadly didn't manage to be in Bathurst, but I think we have a strong lineup, and I can't wait to be on track, first with the official test days and then see what we've got there. I'm confident that we can have a good package to fight up front.”

Joining Estre, Patrick Pilet is equally keen to impress: “I'm extremely happy to finally have the chance to drive for HubAuto and especially with Laurens and Kevin. We’ve known each other for a long time. We have never worked, all three together, on the same car. So, it's a pretty good challenge and we definitely have the desire to win this race. It's one of my favourite races of the season and one of my favourite tracks. We will definitely be ready and fighting for a great result all together.”

Rounding out the Porsche trio, Laurens Vanthoor: “Obviously, I’m very much looking forward to one of the highlights in the year.  Local race for me - only one hour from where I live. So, it's always exciting. I’ve been able to win it twice, once with Audi, once with Porsche and the third one would obviously be very special. I think we have very good lineup, good team, good car. So hopefully we would have a shot at it, and it will be cool. Nürburgring, Le Mans, then Spa all behind each other. So it's a 24 hour races period, let's say, it will be a cool period.”

Team Owner and Principal of HubAuto Racing, Morris Chen shared in this confidence of team and driver lineup. “We are looking forward to racing again at the 24 Hours of Spa and are excited about our Porsche driver lineup: Kevin, Patrick and Laurens. This trio have incredible synergy and combined with our team, we are very capable contenders.”

Building upon their past experiences, HubAuto Racing are keen to make their mark this centenary year of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, Chen said “As a team, we are determined to leave this historic event with a podium finish.”

The CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa race is scheduled to commence at 16:30 (CEST) 29 June 2024 with the event held over 26-30 June, 2024.
