• Stars of international sportscar racing to descend on Spa from 25–29 June
• Victory up for grabs in five fiercely competitive classes
• Record entry list features 10 manufacturers and a wealth of driving talent
ENTRY LIST: CROWDSTRIKE 24 HOURS OF SPA
A 75-car field will tackle next week’s CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa (25–29 June), establishing a new benchmark for the legendary event’s GT era.
One year on from its centenary celebrations, the Ardennes classic has drawn unparalleled interest from teams and drivers around the globe, all of them hoping to prevail over a full day and night at Spa-Francorchamps.
The grid includes machinery from 10 automotive manufacturers, all of which compete full-time in GT World Challenge powered by AWS and have ambitions of claiming at least one of the five class wins on offer. This is the grid for the biggest GT race in the world.
PRO: International stars chase a place in history
Entries: 21 cars | 8 brands
2024 Winner: Comtoyou Racing (Aston Martin)
With a grid made up of professional drivers, many of them representing manufacturers, the Pro class embodies the elite level of performance. There is no maximum line-up, though crews are limited to three drivers and have only one objective: a place in the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa history books.
This year's field features eight brands. Aston Martin squad Comtoyou Racing is the defending winner and has an unchanged trio of Nicki Thiim, Marco Sørensen and Mattia Drudi. Walkenhorst Motorsport, which won in 2018 with BMW, bolsters the British brand's assault further.
Having come within touching distance of victory last year, Ferrari will be out for revenge with two Pro cars run by AF Corse Francorchamps Motors. Among their line-up, Arthur Leclerc is set for his maiden appearance at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.
BMW is the most successful brand in the event's history with 25 wins and can call on a stacked five-car programme split between Team WRT and Rowe Racing. There are four past victors – including three-time winner Philipp Eng – while Valentino Rossi and Kevin Magnussen are among the reinforcements called up for the big race.
Mercedes-AMG brings four cars, including factory efforts from GetSpeed and Winward Racing's highly successful Mann-Filter programme. Local squad Boutsen VDS and fan favourite Goodsmile Racing will also carry the three-pointed star into battle. Porsche matches its rival with four Pro cars spread between Dinamic GT, Schumacher CLRT, Rutronik Racing and Pure Rxcing.
Lamborghini has waited a long time to win this race and has high hopes for 2025 with Grasser Racing and VSR. The latter line-up includes Franck Perera, who last year set a new qualifying lap record for the event. The Garage 59 McLaren is coming off the back of its first Endurance Cup podium in seven years at Monza, so hopes are high for Spa, while HRT Ford Performance will aim to mount a challenge with its Mustang.
GOLD: Biggest-ever grid assembles for Spa
Entries: 12 cars | 7 brands
2024 Winner: AlManar Racing by GetSpeed (Mercedes-AMG)
Launched in its current configuration in 2023, the Gold Cup has attracted its biggest ever field for the 24 Hours. The maximum line-up at Spa is Gold/Gold/Gold/Silver. The third Gold is optional; some teams will run an additional Silver, while others will deploy a three-driver line-up.
The field consists of 10 full-season GT World Challenge Endurance Cup crews, plus a pair of one-off entries from the United States. Wright Motorsports (Porsche) is a GT World Challenge America regular, while Texan squad Winward Racing (Mercedes-AMG) is very familiar thanks to its European success.
AlManar Racing by WRT won last time out at Monza with its BMW and leads the standings ahead of the 24 Hours, though Verstappen.com Racing (Aston Martin) is just two points shy after securing back-to-back runner-up finishes. This pair – along with Circuit Paul Ricard winner CSA Racing (McLaren) – are the leading contenders heading into the 24 Hours.
McLaren is the most popular car on the Gold Cup grid; in addition to CSA, the 720S GT3 Evo will also be run by Optimum Motorsport, Team RJN and Garage 59. A total of seven brands – including Audi, Lamborghini and Porsche – will also feature in this increasingly popular class.
SILVER: Competitive and varied field ready to chase class victory
Entries: 16 cars | 9 brands
2024 Winner: GetSpeed (Mercedes-AMG)
The Silver Cup debuted at Spa in 2018 and has added plenty of fierce competition over the years. It looks better than ever ahead of the 77th edition, with 16 cars set to chase victory.
The line-up is simple: either three or four Silver-graded drivers, many of whom are ambitious youngsters looking to make a name on the big stage. Recent graduates have quickly earned factory driver status (Mattia Drudi, Fabian Schiller, Sandy Mitchell) or even progressed to Formula 1 (Franco Colapinto).
The opening races have been won by BMW squads Paradine Competition and Century Motorsport, so they are the narrow favourites heading into the 24 Hours. Defending winner GetSpeed will field a pair of Mercedes-AMG entries, while Audi stalwarts Tresor Attempto Racing and Saintéloc Racing should also be strong.
Lamborghini has traditionally excelled in this class with wins in 2018, 2019, and 2023, and has two shots at victory with Grasser Racing and VSR. A total of nine brands are represented on the Silver Cup grid. Along with those already mentioned, expect serious challenges from Aston Martin, Corvette, Ford, McLaren and Porsche.
BRONZE: Booming grid promises intense battle
Entries: 19 cars | 9 brands
2024 Winner: Tresor Attempto Racing (Audi)
The current Bronze Cup format was introduced in 2023 and has quickly established a major presence on the entry list. The maximum line-up is Platinum / Silver / Silver / Bronze, which provides teams with a wide variety of driver options.
Ferrari brings the most cars (five) and leads the standings courtesy of Kessel Racing. The Italian marque is also the defending Endurance Cup champion thanks to Ziggo Sport Tempesta, while the AF Corse Francorchamps Motors entry is always a contender at this event.
Defending winner Tresor Attempto Racing returns with an unchanged line-up aboard its Audi, while former overall winner Saintéloc Racing should also be a threat. Winward Racing triumphed last time out at Monza and its line-up includes Rinat Salikhov, a Pro-Am winner at Spa in 2018. Porsche is the car of choice for three squads, including the Rutronik Racing entry driven by 2023 class winner Antares Au.
GT World Challenge Asia squad Johor Motorsports JMR will field the returning Chevrolet Corvette, marking the American brand's first appearance at the Ardennes classic since 2011. Aston Martin, BMW, Lamborghini and McLaren are also represented on this diverse and highly competitive grid, which is second only to Pro in terms of entries.
PRO-AM: Long-running class adds even more competition
Entries: 7 cars | 5 brands
2024 Winner: CrowdStrike Racing (Mercedes-AMG)
Pro-Am has been an ever-present part of the 24 Hours since the GT3 era began in 2011. The maximum line-up is Platinum/Platinum/Bronze/Bronze – put simply, two professionals and two amateurs.
It remains a competitive field, with seven cars set to chase victory this year. They are led by the defending winner – the #4 CrowdStrike by SPS Mercedes-AMG – which fields an unchanged line-up of George Kurtz, Ian James, Colin Braun and Nicky Catsburg. Mercedes-AMG has won the past two editions in Pro-Am, and the CrowdStrike crew represent its only shot at making it three in a row.
AF Corse has taken a remarkable six Pro-Am victories since 2012. It brings two cars this year; notably, the #71 Ferrari includes factory driver Miguel Molina and local favourite Stéphane Lémeret, who contests the race for the 24th time. Comtoyou Racing and Haas RT add further Belgian interest, while AV Racing by Car Collection Motorsport also joins what should be an enjoyable class battle.
